Richco Structures is currently seeking Truss Assemblers to join our team. This position is for enthusiastic and energetic individuals who would like to join a progressive and growing company.

Qualifications

Previous carpentry experience is helpful but not required. Knowledge and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble building material components is preferred. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills

1. Ability to read and understand work orders, drawings or blueprints
2. Ability to read a tape measure
3. Operate various machinery including banding equipment and circular saws
4. Ability to use hammer, wrench, nail puller, tape measure and stapler
5. Position requires frequent standing and use of hands
6. Experience in manufacturing and assembly
7. A keen eye for detail and accuracy in all work with ability to produce good quality work
8. Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
9. Extended work schedules during peak periods
10. Must be a team player

Prepare and provide layout, details, profiles, pricing, engineering drawings and all manufacturing related paperwork necessary for building components system.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Interprets uncomplicated residential and/or commercial blueprints and specifications for building component systems.
2. Prepares building components system layouts, profiles, and take off lists for both contractor installation and manufacturing requirements for uncomplicated projects either by use of a CAD system, engineering and order processing programs or conventional hand drafting methods.
3. Prepares pricing information on uncomplicated individual building components and/or systems.
4. Designs the individual component of the building component system using specialized engineering programs and pre-engineered specification charts.
5. Prepares and provides truss drawings (to be reviewed and sealed by an outside engineering firm), cost sheets, and manufacturing documents for uncomplicated projects.
6. Communicates effectively with team leader, customers, sales people, and other team members as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience with a CDL A required.  Good Driving record, exceptional customer service and the ability to be flexible.  Must be able to use hand tools, banding equipment and a fork lift.  Heaving lifting required at times.

Duties:

Ability to operate tractor trailer to transport finished product to job site.

Occasionally operates straight truck to transport finished product to job site.

Follows state restrictions for overside loads, routes, etc., as well as observing extreme caution with transporting oversized loads.

Ability to determine best location to unload product so as not to cause damage.

Monitors vehicles for proper maintenance and repair.

Communicates with job site contacts such as contractors and customers.

Assists in loading product by forklift and secure loads by banding.
